Every year my friend Sybil puts together a girl's trip. Some years only 3 or 4 people will be able to make it and other years 15 people will go. The trips are always fun with lots of memories made and lots and lots of laughter!! The trips have been in Dallas, Arizona, Seattle, Austin, and other cities I can't remember at the moment. This year the trip was in Austin (easy for me this year :)!) As always we had a great time and lots of laughs! This year our really good friend, Pauline was not able to make it. This was the first girl's trip she has missed. A few months ago she was diagnosed with throat cancer. We missed you Pauline and all our prayers and thoughts are with you!!!
Hi! My name is Carolyn and I have the three best kids in the world along with the best husband ever! My oldest son, Kyler is 10. Branson is 7 and my daughter, Jade, just turned 2. My two sons have cf. We treat cf the same way we do taking a shower or brushing our teeth. You have to take a shower but you don't talk about it all day or think about it all day. You just do it. And that is the way we treat cf, we do what we need to do but thats all the attention cf gets! Then we spend the rest of the day doing things we love and have fun with! Now I know cf is more serious than brushing your teeth, ect but this is the best way I can explain it. CF is a part of our lives but we don't let it overtake our lives. I love horses and animals! I have a horse and ride English Hunter Undersaddle (jumping). I have had my horse since she was 3 and now she is 21 so for 18 years! I can't believe it has been that long! Update..our daughter Jade was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes Feb 09 ten days before her 2nd Bday. We are not sure why God has chosen this path for us and our kids but know we will continue on with love and strength and hope.
