Austin had a small fair that we went this weekend. It had a few rides and a hotdog stand but the kids had a lot of fun!!! This was the first year that Austin has had one so not many people were there which made it even better as far as no lines for the rides. We had a great Friday night at the fair! ps. That little deer in Jade's pic was so cute and just followed Jade around at the petting zoo. I wanted to take him home!
Your boys are AWESOME!!! and your way of parenting is EXACTLY how CFers should be parented... I remeber when I was 5, I wanted a pony so bad... It was all I talked about for years and then when I turned 11 my parents leased me my first pony... I had such a passion for horses and when my doctors told my parents I should not be riding because of my CF... My parents gave them the finger (not literally) and ended up buying me my first horse, Rama... and I have been riding ever since... and I am 32.. I know... isn't that AWESOME!!!! Anyways... I enjoyed your blog, please check out our website and my blog(I am not good at updating my blogs, but am going to try)We love all the support we recieve from our CF community... xoxo Sarah
Hi! My name is Carolyn and I have the three best kids in the world along with the best husband ever! My oldest son, Kyler is 10. Branson is 7 and my daughter, Jade, just turned 2. My two sons have cf. We treat cf the same way we do taking a shower or brushing our teeth. You have to take a shower but you don't talk about it all day or think about it all day. You just do it. And that is the way we treat cf, we do what we need to do but thats all the attention cf gets! Then we spend the rest of the day doing things we love and have fun with! Now I know cf is more serious than brushing your teeth, ect but this is the best way I can explain it. CF is a part of our lives but we don't let it overtake our lives. I love horses and animals! I have a horse and ride English Hunter Undersaddle (jumping). I have had my horse since she was 3 and now she is 21 so for 18 years! I can't believe it has been that long! Update..our daughter Jade was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes Feb 09 ten days before her 2nd Bday. We are not sure why God has chosen this path for us and our kids but know we will continue on with love and strength and hope.
